Outdoor Canvas™ Plants with Character are grown by Payneham Plant Wholesalers and distributed to garden centres throughout South Australia.

The plants are chosen for their diversity, aesthetic value and hardiness to South Australian gardens. The nursery is situated on a 10-acre site on the Adelaide Plains at Sellicks Hill on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Approximately 250,000 plants are under production at all times. Ninety five per cent of the plants are growing in full sun and so are exposed to the elements as they will be in the garden.

The nursery has a long history of growing and supplying quality plants for South Australian gardens, having originally been established in 1871 on a site at Payneham. In the late 1990’s the nursery was moved to the current site at Sellicks Hill. It has been growing and supplying plants for South Australian gardens continuously for 138 years.
